- Aperture/F-stop- Also called F stop. an opening, usually circular, that limits the quantity of light that can enter an optical instrument or camera.
- Aperture Priority-a semiautomatic exposure system in which the photographer presets the aperture and the camera selects the shutter speed.
- Ambient Light-the light surrounding an environment or subject.
- Artificial Light- lighting altered by man or specifically modified to achieve ocular requirements.
- ASA/ISO/Film Speed-the sensitivity to light of a photographic film, specified in terms of the film's ISO rating .
- Bracket- shooting the same subject with different aperture settings.
- Depth of Field-the range of distances along the axis of an optical instrument, usually a camera lens, through which an object will produce a relatively distinct image.
